Metrorail Weekend Track Work December 23-24, 2017

This weekend (Saturday, December 23, and Sunday, December 24) there will be limited track work as most Metrorail lines will run on a regular weekend schedule. The only exception is the Red Line, where trains will run every 8-15 minutes as Metro’s leak-mitigation project continues.

  • Regular weekend service on Orange, Silver, Blue, Yellow and Green lines
  • Trains every 8-15 minutes on the Red Line

Holiday service

On Sunday, December 24, and Monday, December 25, Metrorail will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. Trains will operate on a Sunday schedule on both days, with off-peak fares in effect and parking will be free at Metro-operated facilities with the exception of a non-rider special event fee at Largo Town Center and Morgan Blvd for the football game on Sunday.

REMINDER: Metrorail will stay open until 2 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.
