Multiple Water Main Breaks in Alexandria New Year’s Day

UPDATE (6:55 AM): Another water main break popped up overnight. This time in the Old Town North area of Alexandria.

UPDATE (9:08 PM): JUST IN – Water Main break #4 – another one in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

UPDATE (7:42 PM): JUST IN – There is a NEW water main break TONIGHT on Clay Street in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Alexandria.

There are multiple water main breaks on New Year’s Day 2018 in Alexandria, Virginia. Crews from Virginia American Water have been responding.

The first one was earlier today on Colonial Avenue in the Northeast neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia. There is a NEW one tonight in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia in the 300 block of Wolfe Street near St. Mary’s Church. Wolfe Street will be CLOSED tonight while Virginia American Water crews make repairs.

Virginia American Water asks for patience during this cold weather we’re experiencing.
