Another Water Main Break in Alexandria Tonight

After five (5) water main breaks on New Year’s Day, and another last night, there is a water main break late this evening (Wednesday, January 3, 2018) in the Holmes Run area of Alexandria, Virginia.

Virginia American Water crews are at the scene. Water is being shut off at 5354 Truman Avenue currently and residents on Pelham St between Taney Ave and Holmes Run Pkwy, as well as Holmes Run Pkwy between Pelham & N Ripley St will have low pressure or no water during repairs–approx 8 hours.

Expect road(s) to be closed to traffic during repairs.

At this time, Virginia American Water expects the repairs to the water main break to take 8 hours.
