Officers Investigating Robbery at Alexandria Gas Station

UPDATE: Corrected the neighborhood based upon reader feedback.

The Alexandria, Virginia Police Department is investigating an armed robbery Saturday morning at a gas station in the Southwest Old Town neighborhood of Alexandria.

The robbery took place at the Speedway Convenience store at 620 South Patrick Street. Suspects vehicle was used to ram the building and stole the cash register.

No injuries have been reported in this incident.

Expect police in the area for the time being while they investigate the incident.

This is west of Washington Street, so it’s the Southwest Quadrant, not Southeast Old Town.
