Taco Bell trying again in Alexandria – this time on King Street TB Cantina LLC has filed plans with Alexandria to bring the fast-casual Mexican fare to 417 King St., in the space formerly occupied by clothier Pendleton. The restaurant, with 52 seats proposed inside and 20 outside on a new patio, would be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. (WBJ)

Political newcomer files for City Council race Robert Ray, the owner of long-running Cavalier Antiques on Prince Street, announced his intention to run for council before the Alexandria Democratic Committee in December. (Alexandria Times)

Old Town’s La Cuisine announces closure after 47 years La Cuisine, an Old Town institution that’s considered one of the longest-running independent kitchen stores in the region, announced on Tuesday that it will close by the end of the month after 47 years in business. (Alexandria Times)
