Quality of life website Niche.com recently released its 2018 list “based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education.” The list includes area private schools as well as local schools in the Fairfax County, Arlington County, Falls Church, and Loudoun County schools systems.
In compiling the rankings, Niche.com looked at state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality and high school ratings. The rankings were weighed heavily toward academic programs, followed by diversity, student and parent surveys and teacher rankings. Every school in the list ranks at least an A or better, according to the website.
