Yves Bistro Quietly Closes at Hoffman Town Center

Yves Bistro, located in the Hoffman Town Center in the Eisenhower East neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia at 235 Swamp Fox Road, has quietly closed its doors. We were alerted by a reader to this news.

Yves Courbois and Oyuna Badan were the co-owners before Mr. Courbois’ death in 2015. The restaurant had lived on in his name since his death. No reason for the closure has been posted that we can find. We have reached out to ownership about this and will post if there is a response.

Yves was the former owner of Au Pied De Cochon, which was a Georgetown landmark for 30 years before Yves retired. Oyuna managed Cafe La Ruche, also located in Georgetown, before teaming up with Yves.

The space is now for lease.

UPDATE: A former employee responded that the closing may be related to Yves Bistro owner Oyuna Badan wanting to try something new. We have reached out to Oyuna for comment.
