Pho 33 Restaurant in Carlyle Closes Abruptly

Disappointed customers walked away from locked doors of the Pho 33 Vietnamese restaurant in the Carlyle neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia this weekend.

The Pho 33 restaurant has closed, with just a small sign in its window to explain why.

“We want to thank you for your business,” the sign read in part. “We have permanently closed.”

The Pho 33 restaurant opened in Carlyle in May 2014. Calls to the restaurant went unanswered and requests for more information have not been returned. Saturday morning, the building was dark with furniture and restaurant equipment remaining on the inside and outside.
