Bike To Work Day 2018 is Friday, May 18, 2018, and via Commuter Connections, registration for the region’s largest annual bicycling event is now open! National Bike to Work Day, part of National Bike Month, is shaping up to be bigger and better than last year.
Alexandria residents will be among the thousands of area commuters who celebrate Bike to Work Day by cycling to work and participating in special events around Alexandria and throughout the region.
Bike to Work Day is free and open to all commuters, but registration is required. The first 20,000 cyclists who register will receive a free t-shirt and be entered in a regional raffle to win a variety of prizes, including a new bicycle.
Bike to Work Day is part of Bike Everywhere Month, the City’s month-long celebration of cycling and cyclists. Other activities include Bike to School Day on May 9 and a variety of rides happening around Alexandria during the month.
Participants can register at biketoworkmetrodc.org for activities at one of five Alexandria “pit stops:”
