Alexandria Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a traffic crash that occurred on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the intersection of Patrick and Wilkes Streets in the Southwest neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia.

At approximately 7:47 a.m., police responded to the area for a motorcycle involved collision. Initial investigation indicates Christopher Agyekum, a 32-year-old from Manassas, was driving a motorcycle southbound on Patrick Street when he struck two motor vehicles. Mr. Agyekum was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Section and Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating the collision. The investigation is ongoing. Alexandria Police ask that witnesses or people with information regarding this incident contact Detective Christine Escobar at 703.746.6819.
