Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued in Alexandria Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the City of Alexandria, Virginia and the surrounding area until 11:00 p.m. this evening (Tuesday, May 15). The National Weather Service says the potential exists for hail and damaging winds from the incoming storm(s).

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are conducive to the development of severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect thru 1:00 AM this evening as well.
