Police Activity in the Del Ray Area of Alexandria

UPDATE (4:31 PM): Hume Avenue now re-opened.

Early this afternoon, Alexandria Police responded to a call for a welfare check on Hume Avenue in the Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia.

As a result of the welfare check, Police have now blocked off the 300-400 block of Hume Ave including Montrose Avenue and other side streets for an investigation.

Police have provided no further details at this time on the investigation. We will update this post when we have more.
