Flooding Closes Roads in Old Town Alexandria

The unit block of King Street, Duke Street and the Strand, which is adjacent to the Potomac waterfront, are flooding this morning in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Washington, D.C. area, including Alexandria until Friday at 10:00 PM.

The King Street trolley was stopping all trips at City Hall, not the waterfront, due to the flooding , the Alexandria Transit Co. said on Twitter.
