We were the first to tell you about the Executive Diner in Alexandria, Virginia which opened recently under a ‘soft opening’. A reader Bob, forwarded the following email review of the Executive Diner he received from a fellow resident.

Catherine writes about the Executive Diner:

“A great new place for breakfast adjacent to the Shiloh Baptist Church (just a short walk down Jamieson Ave, or free parking on-site). Superb pancakes/waffles, freshly squeezed OJ, coffee in mugs, and a very friendly staff who starts work at 6AM. They will receive their liquor license in two weeks for lunch/dinner. A pleasant atmosphere that puts Table Talk, Bob and Edith’s, et al to shame in comparison. A newly built facility from ceiling to floor. Ask for a booth.”

The diner is located at 1400 Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia and is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Have you tried the new diner? What are your thoughts?

I love their lunch sandwiches. Their quality of food is far better than most local delis. I highly recommend their shrimp pull-boy and their ruben sandwiches.
