UPDATE (9:39 AM):

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) officials say Francis C. Hammond Middle School in Alexandria, Virginia has been evacuated because of a bomb threat made at the school.

Today’s threat was made while kids were arriving at the school.

Officers were on scene immediately and made contact with all of the occupants in building and were able to safely evacuate everyone from the building.

My sources tell me, a similar bomb threat is what caused the lockdown yesterday.

Officers are performing a thorough search of the building. Expect police activity in the area.

At this time, the investigation into who placed the call is ongoing. This post will be updated as soon as more information is made available.
