Wind Advisory Issued Wednesday in Alexandria

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory for Alexandria, Virginia and the surrounding area for Wednesday, January 30, 2019, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. NWS says winds will be at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph Wednesday.

Strong winds may blow down trees and power lines, which would result in power outages. Loss of power could be life-threatening due to the very cold temperatures.
