Carpenter’s Shelter Launches New Heights Campaign

Carpenters Shelter, which has served the homeless in Alexandria, Virginia for more than 30 years, needs your help to continue Father Tony Casey’s vision.

Carpenter’s Shelter’s current building at 930 N. Henry St., their home for more than 20 years, has been torn down and is being replaced with a 7-story building and underground parking built as a purpose-built shelter will help Carpenter’s Shelter effectively and efficiently meet the needs of their clients and give Alexandria much needed affordable housing on the upper floors.  This renovation is being done via a partnership with the Alexandria Housing Development Corporation (AHDC), The new building is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

We hear $1 Million has been raised for this project. Now, Carpenter’s Shelter needs $2 Million in order to finish the New Heights project. You can donate here.
