Annual Dog Swim Days in Alexandria, Virginia

Dogs are taking an end of summer dip in Alexandria, Virginia pool at the annual end of summer Dog Swim Days at Alexandria pools. At the Itty Bitty Doggie Dive, dogs under 25 pounds can enjoy a pool to themselves on September 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Charles Houston Recreation Center Memorial Pool (901 Wythe St.). The Big Dog Day Swim on September 21 is at the Old Town Pool.

Both events are sold out. These annual events follow the end of summer pool season and offer dogs the chance to swim and play games in the City’s outdoor pools before the pools are drained and cleaned for the winter. Thanks to the generous support of Your Dog’s Best Friends, admission is free.
