Local Airports Celebrate Black History Month With Music

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) will host its annual Black History Month celebration of achievements and contributions to American history by African Americans with musical performances for passengers traveling through both airports each Thursday during the month of February.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) will host its annual Black History Month celebration of achievements and contributions to American history by African Americans with musical performances for passengers traveling through both airports each Thursday during the month of February.

Performances at Dulles International will take place on the ticketing level, pre-security near the entrance to the East Security Checkpoint. Performances at Reagan National will take place in Terminal B/C in National Hall, across from Il Viaggio restaurant near the Terminal B information desk.

The performance schedule is as follows:

Thursday, Feb. 6: Light jazz saxophonist Merlon Devine

  • IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
  • DCA: 2-4 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 13: Gospel Singer Ricardo White

  • IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
  • DCA: 2-4 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 20: Gospel Singer Ricardo White

  • IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
  • DCA: 2-4 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 27: Light jazz saxophonist Merlon Devine

  • IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
  • DCA: 2-4 p.m.
