New Water Main Break in Alexandria Monday

Virginia American Water crews are making emergency repairs today (Monday, January 27, 2020) on a water main line along Knox Place in the Varsity Park neighborhood in the Seminary Hill area of Alexandria, Virginia. As a result, customers in this area may experience NO WATER, LOW PRESSURE and or DISCOLORED WATER.

Repairs are expected to take until approximately 10:00 p.m. before water service is back to normal. When service is restored, customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water. If your water is discolored, wait until it runs clear before using. This should typically take only a few minutes.

Virginia American Water apologizes for any inconvenience, and thanks you for your patience while repairs are being made.
