Reader Poll: Do You Feel Safe as a Pedestrian in Alexandria?

Alexandria City councilors have pushed Vision Zero due to concerns about pedestrian safety in the City (See recent fatal crash here). As Alexandria, Virginia grows and becomes more developed, there are more vehicles as well as more pedestrians. I get many emails from residents in our inbox and see online postings from residents who say they don’t feel safe walking throughout the city.

In the densely-settled City of Alexandria, Virginia, it’s no secret that both pedestrians and vehicles are abundant. As a pedestrian, do you feel safe walking in the City? Vote in our poll and add your comments in the section below!
