City of Alexandria COVID-19 Update – May 25, 2020

According to the Virginia Department of Health, as of today, there are now 1,754 cases of COVID-19 in Alexandria, Virginia, an increase of 21 cases since yesterday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, as of today, there are now 1,754 cases of COVID-19 in Alexandria, Virginia, an increase of 21 cases since yesterday.

There are no new reported deaths due to the virus, and the fatality count in the City remains at 38. Due to the lack of available data, it still remains unclear how many have recovered from the virus.

DATA FACTS: There have been over 900 new cases in May and the City is trending downward in the number of new cases. This may change after today’s free testing events. There have been over a dozen coronavirus-related deaths in Alexandria, Virginia in May 2020. The vast majority of COVID-19 related deaths have occurred at long-term care facilities.
