The pedestrian tunnel, which connects our community to the King Street Metro Station, will be open at 7:00am and the Carlyle Shuttle will be up and running at 8:00am this morning with regular schedule for the afternoon.....
A BIG thank you to the <a href="http://carlylecommunity.us/?page_id=1225">Carlyle Community Council</a> and the <a href="http://alexandriava.gov" target="_blank">City of Alexandria</a> for replacing the old signs which had ripped off stickers as well as odd colored labels on them. Here's what the new signage looks like:
The City was out about a week ago to FINALLY fix the street lights that were out at the Duke Street Pedestrian tunnel on the WMATA side (see photo below). The next batch of lights the City is working on is at Courthouse Square Park, then several lights are out in the John Carlyle Street area.
