There will be no Blue or Yellow line Metrorail train service between the National Airport station and the Arlington Cemetery (Blue) and L’Enfant Plaza (Yellow) stations on Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13.
Metro is reminding customers of a four-day capital improvement project, starting tomorrow, November 9 through Monday, November 12 (Veterans Day observed) on the Yellow and Blue lines through Alexandria, Virginia.
Metro is planning a three-year capital project that will reconstruct the outdoor platforms at 20 Metrorail stations to address structural deficiencies after decades of exposure to the elements. This project will result in a shutdown of rail service south of Reagan National Airport during the summer of 2019.
